ANNUAL DAY


It is a general practice of any Academic and fine Arts institution to Celebrate its formation day every year.  Unlike other institutions, SDSN Celebrates its formation day as ANNUAL DAY, once in two years, inviting a Kuchipudi fraternity as Chief Guests for its celebrations. They deliver message to encourage the young dancers, giving proper guidance in discipline and daily practice. Every SDSN student will take part and present their kuchipudi art. Every student will be honored as part of SDSN’s encouragement. The best and disciplined SDSN student will be honoured with Kuchipudi prestigious hair clip the “Satya Bhama Jada”


SATYABHAMA JADA

Lord Krishna in Dwapara Yuga gifted the” Hair Clip – The SatyabhamaJada” to Satya Bhama with great love. The importance of the Jada was described in Bhamakalapamonly. Hair Clip is imbedded with pearls and navaratnas. The length will be more than below knees. It is very long. At the top of the jada, the Aadisheshu is present, below Aadisheshu Surya(the Sun) is situated. The braids are done with 27 stars. The braids dots represent 27 stars. Below the stars there are 3 big balls. It represents three Lokas. Each dot has 3 small balls. Total 9, this represents Navagrahas. There are total 12 balls. They represent 12 Zodiac signs. A Kuchipudi dancer should give more significance to Satyabhama Jada, the hair style, similar to their attire.
